I need More Bootstrap/DW Tutorials

Hello,

I am getting better at successfully using DW2017, after years of struggling with coding (older graphic designer-pre-computer). Now that Bootstrap is the way to go for responsive websites I am trying to learn how to integrate BS into my workflow. I am looking for tutorials (in depth projects, hands-on), working with BS. My concern also is the learning courses I have found on-line are just Bootstrap, with no mention of Dreamweaver (except the one-below). So I assume designers can use just BS, or integrate it with whatever program they are coding in, and it is not "only a part of DW".

If I set up a site in DW, using all the required BS framework and files upon creation, can I then use the numerous online tutorials about BS, and be able to move along, create and understand even though I have set up the file in DW? Once I have my new BS file open in DW, and the code visible am I ready to follow along taking the "outside" BS courses?

With that said, are there any recommendations of courses that I could take that would be helpful? So far I took this course and it was very good.

Dreamweaver CC Responsive Design with Bootstrap, from Trainsimple.

I learn well from watching and following "hands on" tutorials. However I need several different tutorials, views, techniques etc. to really feel comfortable going on my own with it.

Thanks

David Powers has a DW/Bootstrap Tutorial on Lynda.com.

Responsive Design with Bootstrap and Dreamweaver CC 2015

I also think that good coding skills are essential.  DW & coding frameworks are just tools.  If you understand code and more specifically the coding framework you're using, you won't need DW tutorials to get good results.  You should be able to open the document in Code or Split View and add whatever structure and elements are required.

Personally I think you're doing yourself no favours by restricting your learning to Bootstrap as that means you will be forever locked into the framework and be at its beck and call as to when or if it updates to newer techniques which can be anything from 18 months to 2 years behind the curve.

I would invest my time in learning how to code a responsive site outside of the Bootstrap framework or any framework come to that. Once you know how to do that then you can dive back into Bootstrap if you think it can make the workflow more streamlined. I always aliken it to wanting to pilot a 747 before learning to flap your wings on a smaller aircraft first. The smaller aircraft is more maneuverable and easier to fly.

Having said that Bootstrap is independent of DW, not exclusive to it so you can use any old editor to deploy Bootstrap. Just go to You Tube and search for Bootstrap tutorials but disregard anything that is over a year old and don't forget Bootstrap v4 will shortly be released which has a whole new bunch of updates that you will need to get your head around if you want to stay one step behind those who don't use Bootstrap.
