IE layout issues Please help

hello, i have just launced my fist website its nothing special but im proud of myself 🙂 as i had no knowledge before i tried this. i have a major issue though im sure its somthing simple you guys will know what it is straight away. when my home page is viewed using IE the layout screws up in firefox its fine if any body can help i would be so thankful !!

i know there are a lot of code errors and it doesnt look very good but i need to fix this prob this is a learning curve for me too! is there anything i can do to get it to line up?

Hello Mick, I have redone my website ive tried the best this time do you think it is now a bit more in the 21st century?? i have a problem though do you think you could help? I have a flash banner in my header and another advertising on my page when testing they work but when its live it does not I have done a error check and it reports wrong document type does this mean it cant be html I am new to this so if you could point me in hte right direction i would be very thankful
