Import Excel to MySQL using PHP

Does anyone know the coding for if you have a excel document that has the same headers as the mysql table, however, you wish to import the data in excel inside your mysql table. How is this done through PHP. I've seen a lot of coding to do the reverse by exporting mysql data into excel. What I need is the reverse, is this possible?
