Is the form insecure and autofill disabled only in Chrome? How can I fix this?

I've noticed that the form on [spam removed] is flagged as insecure, and the autofill feature is disabled. This issue seems to occur only when using Chrome.

Can anyone provide a solution or explain why this is happening specifically in Chrome?

It likely has something to do with your browser's security settings.

The site itself isn't secure, so the browser may be picking up on that and disallowing autofill of the form.

We're not privvy to any of your server scripting (the php form script) to say whether the form itself has an error in the code somewhere.

Alright; is there a solution, even if temporary, for this issue?

I'm sure there is, but there's no way for us to know exactly what's causing it in your browser.

You could...

1. try dropping Chrome's security setting down a level and see if it changes anything.
2. purchase secure hosting from your provider and see if that helps.

If neither do, then it's likely an issue in the code that we can't see. You would need to copy and paste the entire script (minus any sensitive info) to the forum and one of the PHP gurus here might be able to spot an issue.

Has the url changed because I'm geting a secure https:// website? The link points to a some kind of forum powered by phpBB and I can only see a login form at he foot of the page. Certainly no warning about any forms not being secure when  using Chrome on a Mac.............wonder if we are looking at the same website or we've been spoofed!

What do you mean, sir?
Is the situation really that dire?
I encountered a problem and reached out for assistance. Is there any shame in that?

This has nothing to do with Dreamweaver and everything to do with the browser.

Select the padlock icon and Site settings. Here you can fiddle around to life's content.
