KBSCs wanted!

Enthusiast ,
Aug 24, 2021 Aug 24, 2021

There was a User recently who wanted buttons for "Save All" and "Save As.

I don't want buttons but I would love to know of a KBSC for these two functions;

or, alternatively. of a a way to hack the making of same.

AFAIK there is not Save All short cut, so in that purpose, instead of using the menu, create one

On Win10, Ctrl + Shift + S = SaveAs.

I created a custom keyboard shortcut to SaveAll.

Thank you both: that was exactly the info that I needed!

I remembered (immediately after I had posted!) that "Save As" is already covered but the much used "Save All" has no default KSBC.

This should be a FR if the team is still accepting Feature Requests.

Viable feature requests are those that can be safely integrated on all Win/Mac systems without conflicting with pre-existing system shortcuts.

I found that there is already a way in DW itself to do what I wanted.

I merely needed to go to the KBSC area in the DW Menu and make a duplicate set. That one, you are allowed to edit and change!

Now Smack-down S (meaning Cmd +Option+Control S) on a Mac Keyboard does exactly what I needed!

🙂

@AnnShelbourne , cool that it helped you.

Now, if you act on multiple documents at once, don't forget that in Dreamweaver the undo function, aka Cmd Z, can be adressed to the active document only, OR in the order they act in multiple document... you can set it from the preferences settings General category, last check box in the bottom
