Hi,

Is there any straight forward way to change the language in an already working Dw installation?

Such that all tools change from English to French in no time? And then back another day?

You can change languages for Creative Cloud versions, but not in older Creative Suite versions, it's not a simple preference change though.

You would need to uninstall your current CC version, then change the language preference in your Creative Cloud Desktop App. Then reinstall the program through the app with the new language setting.

Install DW in all desired languages so you have them on your system.

    Did they change something recently?

Can you have multiple language versions of DW installed at the same time now?

    @Jon Fritz,

I think it depends on your OS.   Mac users report they can download and retain apps in multiple languages.  But Win users may be prompted to download again.

To change the language back to a previous one that's aready installed:

    • Close all apps.
    • Open CC desktop App.
    • Select preferred language (download if prompted).
    • Close CC desktop app.

To change language at the OS level:

To change DW spell check language:

    • Go to Edit > Preferences > General tab.

To change document language from CODE view:

    • <html lang="en">
      or
    • <html lang="fr">

To change language on a page section from CODE view:

    • <p lang="fr">Quelle heure est-il?</p>
    • <p lang="en">What time is it?</p>
