Can anyone help me with this.
I haven't changed any settings on my Mac Laptop but just no I've started getting the following message when I try to connect to the MySQL databases.

>> Unable to connect to host localhost. Be sure that the address is correct and you have the necessary priveledges <<

I have tried restarting and that made no difference.

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Dave

Thanks Nancy ,

I gave that a try.

Or at least I think I tried that. I found a command in Navicat that was called flush priveledges but it didn't seem to do much.

Navicat gives a slighhtly different message though
The error message in navicat is:

>> Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)<<

I'm not sure if that helps identify what the problem is?

Any more ideas?

Cheers
