Hi Tomas,

I'm facing the same issue with Dreamweaver (see below). How did you solve the problem? What do you mean with "regular update from Adobe Creative Cloud"? Thanks a lot for you help!

Thomas

It was a issue with my disk name that contained a special character… I renamed it and Dreamweaver is working again! Thanks to Adobe's agent who helped.

Hello @Тhomas

I doubt anyone is reading this discussion from last year.

1. Open CC Desktop App.
2. Click your Avatar (top right image) > Preferences > General tab > Settings. Select "Always keep Creative Cloud up to date."
3. Click on your Avatar again.
4. Sign-out of Creative Cloud.
5. Close all apps.
6. Restart your computer.
7. Open CC Desktop app.
8. Click your Avatar.
9. Sign-in with your paid ID and password.

Post back if you still need help.

Hi Nancy,

Thanks for your answer. I did follow your steps but Dw still crashing. Here are some things I've already done:

  • I've uninstalled only Dw and all CC apps
  • Reinstalled only Dw and all the apps
  • Used Adobe Cleaner tool
  • Changed my Mac language to others regions and country (I'm French)
  • Created a new user to test
  • Reset my whole Mac installation on last Big Sur version (11.1)

…with no luck. I've no more idea but I really need Dreamweaver right now.

Same for me! Neither Adobe Cleaner tool nor resetting Dreamweaver preferences worked for me… I also tried uninstall and change my Mac language but it did'nt help.
Any help? Can't use Dw anymore…

Try doing a search of your library for anything Dreamweaver and remove it.  Be sure to back up your sites first before doing this.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for your answer. I've tried removing content in both folders Users/[name]/Library and Disk/Library but no changes. Dw stills display the error…

Can you try another user account on the computer to rule out corruption of the user account?

I tried earlier today: I created a new account with no content… Same issue. So I am currently resetting the whole macOS system.

Unfortunately, still not working and have the same window. I'll chat with an agent tomorrow. Anyway, thank you for helping!

Ah ha, the dreaded special character!  Glad you were able to get it sorted.

Fortunately, Windows users don't have those problems.
