Hi there, need a link to download DW2015- the install corrupted when I swapped macs.
the new versions dont offer the same code coloring for inline styles which makes coding emails a real pain, specially when all of the selectors highlight at once.
Thanks in advance

The CC app no longer supports pre-2019 versions. Adobe prefers their customers to use the latest releases, no more than 2 versions back.
Also does your Mac have an older OS? I ask because legacy 2015 won't run on Big Sur.
Follow the VERY IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS below. NOTE: Adobe may disable these links at anytime without warning.

Unfortunatly, thats the link support provided and I cant figure out how to get the additional files Adobe left out of the package into the the package from any of the other programs.

Sorry but I don't know what that means. If "additional files" means 3rd party extensions, you must install those separately. I use DMX Zone's free Extension Manager below.

@Nancy OShea the only think in the mac version of the package is the payloads folder, the rest is missing. the instructions suggest copying it over from anther program, but i cant figure out who to do that. I can access the files, i just can't write them into the dreamweaver dmg... or I dont know how to do so i should say.

Sorry, I still don't know what you mean. I don't own a Mac so I can't help you with Mac issues. Hopefully fellow ACP and Mac user, @Ben M , will see this and respond in a few hours.

i dont really knwo what im talking about, its above my skill set, but here is the note;
Hi guys, unfortunately it appears Adobe left out the installer executable (setup.exe on Windows or install.app in Mac) from some of the Dreamweaver CC 2015 packages… So it requires an extra step to be installed standalone.
To fix this, follow these steps:
1. First double-click what you downloaded for Dreamweaver to extract it onto your Desktop.
2. Then you need to download another app above like Photoshop and copy over the needed resources into that Dreamweaver directory… So just copy the following files and folders from Adobe’s Photoshop bundle and paste them into the Dreamweaver folder:
Set-up.exe or Install.app
deploy/
packages/
resources/ (if present)
3. Leave “payloads” alone. Then run the Set-up.exe (Windows) or install.app (Mac DMG) that you copied over for Dreamweaver.
It should then work and install for you! Please let us know if that addressed the issue.

If you ask me, that's another good reason NOT to use legacy 2015. Especially since it's not receiving updates anymore and will never work on the latest Mac OSs.

Thanks @Nancy OShea I appreceate the effort and the input. Unfortunatly for some specific instances, especially with HTML Email coding, the interface of 2015 can be significantly more useful.
Belive me id prefer not to be using an outdated product, but Adobe is not itnerested in adding back some of the features (code coloring) that we need.

Is the code colouring the only issue? Do you work in code view or one of the other views?

Code coloring is actually a significant issue for me; with inline styles, later versions of DW group all of the attributes into a single color block, wherein DW15, each attribute was a different color than its value. When there are long strings of styles, it is harder to see each value and find what you are looking for to make changes and correct issues.

I'd be interested in knowing what has changed if you are only working in Code View that you are missing in the new version. But as far as your Mac question is concerned, basically what those instructions say is that you need to find another app from CC2015 so do they have other downloads available like Photoshop? Then right click on the installer and click Show Package Contents and then you will see those files. Not sure how you would embed them in another installer though. That really isn't possible to my knowledge.

@Ben M i got to the point of downloading another program, pulling the files referenced- but could not figure out how to get them into the installer package as the directions say to do.

I took this to mean you must extract the zipped DW 2015 package to your desktop and add contents from the unzipped Photoshop package.
