making a web app question

I created a web page in html 5. The page is going into another page, (template page). I would like to be able to have just this/my page be made into a web app (not this and the template). If I place the whole page <HTML> to <HTML>, instead of just the <body> into the template, would it make a web app of my page?

Regardless, I have a feeling that this unspecified web app is going to be amazing once the kinks have been ironed out! Do you have a kickstarter? Please take my money now.
