I would like to be able to manage my computers at school via
a website. I have an application using VB scripts that a co-worker
wrote, but we'd like to move it to running from web pages. How do I
run such scripts on remote computers from a webpage? We are still
in planning stages, but anticipate using either a MySQL or Access
database to store information and also using ASP pages. Our
webmaster doesn't like PHP for some reason, thinks it created
errors on the server and so turned it off. Are there useful
websites with this information already (haven't found any yet
myself) or can I get some help here? If I am unclear about anything
I wrote, I'd be happy to clarify.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Generally browser security will disallow certial scripts to
run as they can
provide too open a hole for hackers to run maleous files. If you wish to
control the machines remotely then I would look at dedicated applications
such as Remote Connections.

Do you feel that would be the case when running it on an
intranet?

Pupils love a challenge, if they knew about this they would certainly
try to hack it. I know when I was a pupil back in the 80's other pupils
were always hacking he BBC Micro computer network...yes technology has
moved on, but pupils still love to try to hack.
