MSHTML.dll error IE6 SP2

I am using spry menus on my webpage and everytime I try to view the submenus in IE 6.0 w/ SP2 it closes with the MSHTML.dll error. I have downloaded several Windows updates for this specific error, but it hasn't helped. Has anyone else had this problem?

I had a copy of the "sprymenubarvertical.css" from before the issue began. I plugged it back in and no more error. I had tried to apply IE patches, but obviously there is an error in the code that caused this problem. Now moving forward with causious optimism.
