My Files Tab is missing all but 2 Hard Drive Folders?

Engaged ,

After the last update, ALL my Hard Drive folders disappeared from the Files Tab except, Library and System?

All the other Hard Dive expand just fine, it's only my main Hard Drive - and yes all the files are actually there.

Oh, yea - this was a couple of weeks ago. I am just now at a point that's it's become a issue. I have just been using the Finder to get my files, but it's a real pain in the ....

Which operating system?

Do you have full read/write permissions to that volume?

Is your local site folder defined in Dreamweaver?

We still don't know which operating system you have...  macOS Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur or Monterey

DW doesn't play nice with certain external, cloud and network drives.  Creative Cloud is not compatible with case-sensitive drives.

For best results, move local site folder to your primary hard disk.

Hope that helps.

Sorry!

macOS Monterey and is fully up to date.

Thinking back, that's about the time I noticed the file folders missing.

This looks like Mac file permissions.  When you go to System Preferences --> Security --> Privacy -->  Files and Folders are some unchecked for DW?  Do you have admin to be able to grant permissions?  Alternatively you can grant full disk access from here as well for DW.

If this only happened after the last OS upgrade, have you tried going into the Disk Utility and running the First Aid to run a system wide repair of permissions to make sure everything is in order?

I have, and just for Grins, I did it again - no issues?

Only last resort that I've had to do with odd Mac problems is an OS User migration. Basically you create a new user account on the computer and see if the same issue persists.  If it doesn't you can start using that profile from now on.  You just have to move the folders (docs/pictures/etc.) from your current user account to the new user account. And sparingly move over items from the user library on the computer between users.  It's a bit of a pain and I've had to go through this twice myself to clear up oddities that could otherwise not be explained.  I recall somewhere in the old OSX timeframe of like 10.3-10.5 and once more later in the 10.10 or later timeframe.
