  • Meta will pay $90 million to settle a 10 year old lawsuit alleging Fecebook kept tracking user data after users had logged off the platform.
  • The 2012 suit said Facebook used plug-ins and cookies to track visits to third-party websites containing "like" buttons.
  • If approved, this would be one of the 10 biggest data privacy class action settlements ever.

Mark Zuckerberg also rolled out new company values on Tuesday, including one based on a maritime saying, "Meta, Metamates, Me" to reflect the naval adage of putting ship and crew first.   The updated values come after Meta's rebrand and an abysmal valuation wipeout this month.
