I’m sorry but I do not speak English very well.
I bought the Adobe CS6 MasterCollection suite (Win / Mac) but I have a problem with using Dreamweaver CS6.
I take a premise and I explain my configuration:
I use Dreamweaver CS6 on a PC Dell XPS 8500 Intel Core i7-3770 CPU @ 3.40 GHz, 16 GB RAM, Windows 7 64-bit, dual monitor Samsung Syncmaster 2243 resolution 1920x1080 (x2).
I’m connected to a LAN and I use an Ubuntu server (also connected to lan) for testing my sites.
My problem is that when I try to open any file (html, php, css, js, txt, etc..) with Dreamweaver, the file opens very slowly (example: a php file 2 KB opens in 6-7 seconds). Saving files from Ubuntu server is very slow too. But if I try to open/save the same file from my desktop or from my NAS, it's very fast. Similarly, if I try to open/save the same php file with Notepad + +, it is very fast. I also tried to open the same file with Dreamweaver on Mac and is very fast.
When I used Dreamweaver CS3 (with the same Lan and the same Ubuntu Server) I had no problems.
We verified that the LAN network is configured properly as well as network settings of my pc and Ubuntu Server.
With all of this tests it seems to me that Dreamweaver CS6 on Windows 7 (NTFS filesystem) has trouble managing files from Ubuntu Server (Ext3 filesystem). The problem may be caused by the difference of the filesystem?
Has anyone had similar problems?
Can anyone tell me how to solve this annoying problem?
