qr code: web link or text?

New Here ,
Oct 19, 2017 Oct 19, 2017

We have to generate some qrcode: what is the difference between "normal text" and "web link" option?

Our qr codes will adress to websites only.

We tried to generate both types, and the result seems the same.

A qr code can be used to provide information on a product to the end user, or provide a link to a page with that information.

What you are using it for and how it works, will depend on what you wish the end result to be. It can even be used to supply product information for customers to scan in shops, details of where to find a product within the store, technical specs for an item.

The web link option is used to direct the end user to a specific web page, but the text option can do the same now, as all that is required to direct to a web page now is the web address which no longer requires the full link option to be used in modern mobile devices.
