question about modifying files

i used adobe photoshop to create a web photo gallery, which creates a directory that includes a index.htm file, then subdirectories underneath the primary directory that include: thumbnails, images, and pages. what i need to do is use dreamweaver to go through all the files in the pages subdirectory and change each of the files (html code) to modify the background image on each of those files. a friend of mine said that dreamweaver had a batch mode which would do that, but i cannot find anything under dreamweaver like that (i can find a batch mode in firefox do to photo processing similar to what the adobe web gallery does). does anyone have an idea of how to do this? thanks.
