Refresh Slow

I have very slow loading pages,
When i open a file within deamweaver 8 i have to wait as long a 60 seconds for the page to load. it also hapens on save.
the key here is there are 7 templates with lots of javascript.
any suggestions

Not the pc. It is a screamer... 2gig mem, etc used for development

If you are running antivirus like nortons get it to exclude the folder that
dreamweaver is installed in.
