Where is the search and find "specific tag with attribute" feature?

This was the most important feature I use in Dreamweaver?

I use this to strip out classes and ids from my code?

Wow, looks like they removed the "Specific Tag" option all together and expect you to use Regular Expressions instead.

    Hi,

As per the new update of Dw CC 2017.1, you can now use the Advance Find and Replace dialog to do a tag search and strip its classes/attributes same as Dw CC 2015.

Please invoke the dialog using the shortcut (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+F) or using the menu Find->Find and Replace in Files and switch to the Advanced tab in the dialog to use this feature.

    Hello,

The shortcut for Search and replace window has changed in Dreamweaver 2017.1.

I dislike the new CTRL+F search by default, it is useless cause you can do everything with the Search and replace window.

So, is there a way to change this shortcut ?

I really don't want to stop using Dreamweaver.

    Thanks

Oh, good.  To tell the truth, I haven't explored it yet.  Been too busy with other things.

Can anyone explain why Dreamweaver insists on showing my search results in split screen code/design mode even when I'm specifying 'search text only'? This is annoying because the search almost always pins at the beginning of a div so the text I want to search for is below the visible design window. I have the split screen set to show design on top and code below. But when I have a window open solely in design and want to do a search for some text, it forces all new windows to open up split screen. Even if I already have those windows open, and in design mode only. If I have a window open in code only, and do a search with 'search text only' unchecked, it opens all new windows in code only, which is correct. It would be nice if it could do the same for text searches.

Yes, it’s been removed. We are looking at ways to bring back the functionality, please stay tuned.

it's absolutely ridiculous to remove this feature - it was a massive timesaver rather than having to learn regex, we're not all programmers!

Damn them all to hell lol... I was afraid of that. Why didnt they add the regex and then slowly get rid of the old feature... but ya what do I know ..

RegEx has been there for a while, but it was nice to have what was essentially a built in easy to use RegEx rule. I'd like to see it come back.
