Could someone check if they also have this behaviour please, (Dw 2017).

Open a file, then right click and select 'preview in browser', then in Dw select - Edit -> select all.

All files are selected, (highlighted)

Yeah, I could see that being a pain.

If you switch your documents to the tabbed layout, you can right click the tab instead of the Files window to Open in Browser, it's definitely safer.

I'm still wondering if the inclusion of the old preview function was essentially a happy accident that's going to disappear in the next version. Live Preview is not ready for prime time in my opinion.

Are you right clicking in the Files window to choose Open in Browser, or the document's named tab?

If I right click the file from the Files window (without bringing the focus to anything but the Files window) go to the browser and come back, hitting Select All highlights all the files in the Files window, as I would expect.

If I open the file, then right click the tab, at least with Split Code/Live open, coming back to DW and selecting all grabs the entire code of the document for me.

Never noticed this before.

I just deleted an entire folders content by mistake, using the keyboard shortcuts and not paying attention. I probably never noticed in older versions, because I never had to select the file to preview in browser.

It's definitely something that needs looking at.

I was only checking that the content slider would work for a discussion the way I thought it would, and changing the scale to slide.

Next time I wont talk to someone on the phone whilst doing so. At least everything went to the recycle bin, so was recoverable.
