Win 7.
Chat support answers - "You need to manually select INS everytime"...
And I have to do it every time I change e.g. from Source code to CSS code..

That's definitely not how it works on my system in DWCC 2017 under Windows 7 64 bit.
Personally, I would clear the program cache, restore preferences and/or reinstall using the cleaner tool to see if maybe something within the program hasn't gone corrupt...

I think this may be a keyboard issue. It doesn't happen to me on standard English US keyboard. But it was reported in another thread by a user on Russian/English keyboard.

Yes, I have Russian/English keyboard. There are some other threads about this.
The problem as I see in other thread concerns WIN 7 and WIN 10 with Russian systems.
The problem is maybe in Russian system setting. Deleting Russian keyboard and working only with English keyboard does not help.
I also have no admin rights - maybe it also leads to this problem.
No solution is found.

Thanks for tips Jon,
- Deleting a corrupted cache file (also deleting the configuration folder) and
- Restoring preferences
did not help.
(As I have no admin rights, there is a problem with using Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool due to obstruction of our system administrator.)
I think also it will not help as it seems to be Adobe internal programming error.
This still forces me to make own script errors when I sometimes forget to switch INS / OVR when changing from one file or CSS to another and back...

As I see if only one or some user have a problem, than it is not a problem, developers ignore it. No one of bug reports has been answered. In decent Russian big companies it is impossible. However, it is obviously a mass production attitude of a big worldwide company.
Everyone who has the same problem please vote here - adobe thinks it is not common problem:

The problem is maybe in Russian system setting. See my 4. Post.
Also notice: "This happened after I installed the new Beta 4. Before Beta 4 everything was ok with the cursor."

Hi Preran,
The problem affects a lot of systems with WIN 7 and WIN 10 and Russian settings.
Now the fix is expected in the next update in April or whenever.
The question is why such a simple, obvious and annoying bug was not fixed earlier in 2 previous updates, why it lasts so long while it was found and documented long time ago.

2 Updates - and there is still no fix of such a simple bug. Please, guess, what should user think about programming skills and workflow process of Adobe team?
