Tables not found in dataset application

I have installed CS3 on a computer running on Vista Home Premium. I have copied a website that runs on my laptop to the computer. The website runs but I am not able to create new dataset as the system does not find the existing tables or views. It returns the error "unspecified error". I am using C# technology. What should I do to correct this?

Have you duplicated the entire development environment on your laptop that exists on the other system, including data sources, databases or XML files, wherever the application is pulling the data from.

I have checked, re-checked and reinstalled CS3. Yet the error persists. Any one ever had this experience?
