I am using the ftp to update directly to my server, but I now recently tried to use templates in order to improve my layout, but everytime I choose Save As Template I receive the following message:

Dreamweaver stores templates in the root folder of a site, but there are no sites defined. Please add a site.
Then the error message sends me to the Manage Sites window.

I don't understand why it doesn't work because I have never had any trouble uploading before.

Here's all my site information (in Manage Sites) let me know if something should be changed:
Name: Allthingsthatrock.com
Access Type: FTP
FTP host: ftp.allthingsthatrock.com
Host directory: /var/www/html/
Login: my username
Password: my password
Use Passive FTP (unchecked)
Use Firewall (unchecked)
Use Secure FTP (unchecked)
URL prefix: http//var/

Please help. I know something is preventing me from making Templates.

Why? You'd better have a really good reason.

It doesn't work because you haven't defined a local root folder, which is
where DW wants to store its templates.

> Please help. I know something is preventing me from making Templates.

I'm guessing it's inexperience. I wouldn't recommend you use the kind of
site setup you have until you are very familiar with DW, and very
experienced.
