Hello,

I'm designing a web site in PHPd Xhtml and i'd like to test it locally instead of uploading the modified files each time. I'd also like to keep all files into the Vista's "documents" folder (what was "my documents" in XP).

Is there a simple way to do this?

Thanks in advance

David

Yes, where you keep your files is up to you. As for viewing the pages locally download and install WAMP, it free and emulates a server on your computer. I do not know if WAMP is available for the Mac or not though. I only know of a PC version.

Testing PHP on the Mac side requires MAMP which can be found here

http://www.mamp.info/en/index.html

You most likely won't need the pro version.

Detailed instructions on how to set up a local PHP testing environment on both Windows and Mac can be found here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/dreamweaver/articles/setting_up_php.html.

BTW, this thread has been moved to the Dreamweaver Application Development forum.
