Question

Text to image rollover/flyout for museum site

Hello all,
I'm trying to find a script, spry or code that would allow a thumbnail flyout image to show when visitors roll over the text. I am responsible for a museum site and I'd like for visitors to see a thumbnail image of an artifact when they rollover the name. I'm using CS4. Any help or ideas?

You could get a simple way of doing this if you use the built in Swap Image behavior and have a single image that is being swapped in and out so that rolling over an artifact name will swap the thumbnail image into the main image. For this, I'd suggest not adding the restore as in your example usage.

Take a look at the docs for this behavior:
http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Dreamweaver/10.0_Using/WSc78c5058ca073340dcda9110b1f693f21-7ae8a.html
In step 4, select the text of your artifact rather than an image. Please note that this feature works best when all of the images are the same size.

On the Spry side of things, you might be able to use some of the Effects to handle the showing and hiding of thumbnails for your artifacts. Check out the examples on the following page (go to the Effects tab):

Post any Spry follow up questions in the Spry forum:
