The text cursor icon is at the bottom how to make it vertical again

This is dreamweaver cc 2018

as u can see the text thing is at the bottom is there anyway to change it so its vertical  its very annoying cause if i make changes it also deletes what ever it is on top of it

example. ("Hello World) if i was to add a " the ) would be replaced with " pls help.

In the status bar at the bottom make sure that you have INS shown.

That tells you you're in OVR type mode -- one character replaces another.   I can toggle this by pressing the INSERT key on my keyboard.
