Question

video streaming

What are the resource and performance issues with hosting video content?
Streaming versus? Is it best to maintain a seperate server for video
streaming content? What about bandwidth considerations? How does the video
streaming effect performance and bandwidth.

I'm trying to determine if hosting video content on our company internal
servers is better suited than hosting on external servers? Just trying to
get an idea of the considerations.

Any input is appreciated.

Check the forums of ThePlanet or some other large hosting company and you'll
likely find more info out about what kind of problems peope ltyipcally have.

Thanks for replying to my post. My feelings are the same.

Do you have any information on performance, bandwidth, and video streaming
issues to help support the argument. I am googling, but I'm finding more
information on companies offering video streaming hosting rather than issues
with hosting video streaming content.
