I have very limited skills in Dreamweaver, but have been able to make minor edits to our web pages. I recently tried to replace a flash animation with just a static image. The web page previews fine in Dreamweaver and on the local machine directly in Edge and Chrome. Are you working within a defined site?
Did you upload the image in addition to the page?
If you answered yes to both of those or are unsure of the answers, can you post a link to your page online?

On a server, those are two separate locations entirely and a case mismatch would cause a 404 File Not Found error..
