What possible downside to leaving a function in place? [Why was classic ASP support removed from CC 2017?]

Oh jeez Adobe. Just got the latest 2017 CC Dreamweaver and you took away the classic asp support!

Why? - I know it's not a current language but loads of people still have to use it.

Perhaps you could explain what possible downside would there have been to exclude this document type / code colouring from this release?
