Why am I locked out of Dreamweaver CS4?

I activated Dreamweaver CS4 on a newer computer via Time Machine and with help from an Adobe specialist. But when I try to open my documents I am now locked out: "View" only.

Can anyone explain, help me open my own documents?

Former system: OS 10.6.8.
New system: OS 10.10.5

I am not an expert with this one, but it looks more like a permission issue to me. Do you have write permissions to the folder containing your files? Do your files reside on your local computer or on a remote location?

Hi Preran,

I have a similar issue: I'm on a Mac OS 10.7.5 and I am suddenly getting this message when I attempt to open my CS4:

"Licensing for this product has stopped working. . . . Error: 6"

Can you please advise?
