Just Google the subject and you will find many hosting companies.

Having said that, Cloud Computing seems to be the way of the future with companies like https://www.digitalocean.com/https://azure.microsoft.com/https://aws.amazon.com/

and even https://pages.github.com/

Wappler is the DMXzone-made Dreamweaver replacement and includes the best of their powerful extensions, as well as much more!

Every hosting service generally offers the same functionality in several configurations to meet a client's needs. I have successfully placed clients and managed their sites with NewTek, HostMonster, and NetworkSolutions. Have also worked with GoDaddy as a hosting service. There are many others, and I encourage you to do some research and due diligence in order to find one that suits your needs and fits your budget.

The desktop software you use to create your site isn't nearly as important as knowing the type of site you're running and how much bandwidth & traffic you need to support  Since you've provided no information about that, we can't make more than general suggestions here.

For static HTML pages on a small site with little traffic, you can probably get by with inexpensive shared web hosting on Linux servers.  For more advanced sites with databases and scripts, your hosting plan must support those as well.  If you lack the skills to do it yourself, a server management package is essential to keep your server healthy with regular upgrades and security patches.  Beyond that, it all comes down to what you need and can afford.

I use the following US based web hosts, in no particular order.

  • Amazon Web Services
  • Host Papa (formerly Lunarpages)
  • InMotion
  • Hostgator
  • Dreamhost
  • Hostmonster
  • Pair Networks

I can't recommend GoDaddy.  I've had too many bad experiences with them in the past.
