designing adaptive websites for multiple devices (android, IOS, mobile, tablet rotaions ec.)

Hello all, I'm an old-school designer (HTML) and I know how to do basic back end coding. But by the time I became and Internet Creative Director (former life, now I just do print and web freelance work), I had a team that did the coding -- I never got the hang of CSS and certainly don't have the skills to work on adaptive sites -- my current client uses an ipad, I use an Android Tablet -- and of course there's different sizes of mobile, tablets etc. I looked online for some tutorials and just don't have the time or skill to design for tablets when people rotate them, and mobile...etc etc. Does anyone know of templates that have floating code or whatever is needed for adaptive design? Thank you so much in advance!

I prefer responsive layout systems to adaptive ones because the layout responds to the width of any device.  To save time, I use Bootstrap's popular mobile-first framework which current versions of DW readily support.

In DW CC, go to File > New > Starter Templates.  Click on Bootstrap Templates.  Select one of the layouts and hit Create button.   Save document and voila! you have the basis for your first responsive website.
