Here is what I have posted elsewhere but cannot seem to find help. If you can help I would greatly appreciate it!

Greetings,

I currently purchased a product from your company and find it to be an
excellent piece of software. Albeit, it seemed a bit expensive but the
results have merited the price. I am looking for a widget, script (not sure
what it is called) that when I point at something on my website a box opens
up offering me more information. This box is sleek and looks very
professional and needs to be adaptive to have different information on
several for several points within the same page. An example of what I am
talking about can be found at
http://www.hulu.com/watch/6813/the-office-fun-run. If you scroll down past
the player to where the "List of Episodes" appears and point at any one of
the episodes you will see a pop-up box that shows up with every episode
offering more information. If you have such product available would you
please let me know or, maybe let me know where I can find such a product. I
am using Dreamweaver CS3 for my site development (religious site).

Thank you,

Ed

If I'm seeing the same thing that you're referring to, it is simply ALT text for the image. Select an image in design view, and in the property inspector and in the ALT field enter in the text you want to be displayed. Please be aware that not every browser will make the text appear when you mouse over an image. Some may use the title attribute of the image tag to do this, which you would have to do in code view, or they may not show anything regardless of what you're using (alt or title).

Danilo,
Thanks for the reply. However, it does not seem to be what I am looking for - the link I provided seems to have been removed. Anyhow, if you go to http://www.hulu.com/watch/19325/speed-racer-the-great-plan---part-1 (hopefully it will still be active by the time you get to it) and scroll down past the videos to an episode list:

List of Episodes
Season:Episode Title Runtime Air Date User Rating Playlist
Season 1
13 Race for Revenge - Part 2 23:43 10/28/1967 Rating_full R...etc,

If you mouseover the title a text hoverbox appears offering more information.

Thanks,

Ed

I see now. You could do this with the built in Show Hide Layer behavior. You create a absolutely positioned DIV that has the content you want to show and then select the element you want to trigger the showing of the div and in the Behaviors panel click the + button and select show layer. Off hand, one thing to keep in mind is that you'd need to set the positioning of the DIV based upon the location of the content in the page, and if that changes, then you might need to make adjustments to the positions of the DIVs.

Beyond that, there are lots of scripts that have similar functionality. Hit Google and search for "DHTML tooltips". Or more for some fancy functionality, search for "lightbox", or "thickbox".
