Buon giorno,

Non sò come fare.

Qualcuno mi può aiutare?

Good morning,
I should rename many images that contain spaces by replacing them with a hyphen in order to automatically update the web pages.

I do not know how to do.

Can someone help me?
Thank you
August

If image files are already inserted into your documents, it's more complex because file names will need to be changed in 2 places -- the image folder + the documents that contain them.

Option 1: Remove images from documents.  Rename images with a bulk renaming utility like this one for Windows:  Introduction - Bulk Rename Utility.   Re-insert images.

Option 2: Change filenames one-by-one in the Files Panel.

Renaming the file in the files panel will give you a prompt to update any links in pages that use that file.

If you have a large number of images, it may be better to use a file renaming, (batch) program for your operating system, but as i am uncertain if Dw would provide a prompt after such an operation being carried out outside of the Dw environment, so i am not certain if this would be better than renaming the files individually within Dw as it may cause lots of broken links to the files in your pages.

Hopefully someone else can provide more information.

Thank you so much.

In fact I'm renaming images one by one, but it's a great deal of time.

I was hoping there was another solution.
