URL prefix for testing server?

Guest

My site is hosted by Pair Networks, which uses MySQL and PHP for dynamic content. The site has separate root URLs for the SSL and non-SSL portions of the site, and I have two separate "sites" in Dreamweaver to manage the content. But when I set up a database connection on the SSL side, the connection only works if the SSL site's testing server has the URL for the non-SSL site. How do other Pair customers set up their Dreamweaver sites? Any suggestions would be great.

Do you have the "User Secure FTP (SFTP) option" checked in the Remote Site
Definition of the Secure site?

I selected SFTP for both Remote Info and Testing Server, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Here is the error message I receive when I try to test a page using Live Data View:

quote:

HTTP error 12009 occured while attempting to request the file https://sslsite.pair.com/folder/file.php from the testing server.

Here are some possible reasons for the problem:
1. Files on the machine named "sslsite.pair.com" that have the ".php" file extension are not being executed by the testing server.
2. The testing server specified for the site does not map to the "https://sslsite.pair.com/folder/" URL. Verify that the URL Prefix maps to the root of the site.

Would you like to change the location of the testing server?

I should add that I'm attempting to use my actual site as the testing site.
