An update: The default installation folder never changed. I was wrong!

I have no idea why your CEP folder disappeared.

Hi there,

Sorry about the lateness of this reply... Perhaps you can simply recreate the CEP folder.

It may be the case that the default CEP folder location has changed from the "System" level to the "User" level:

  • System extension folder

    • Win(x64): C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions, and C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions (since CEP 6.1)
    • macOS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions
  • Per-user extension folder

    • Win: C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CEP/extensions
    • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions

That said, particularly Photoshop has been dropping support for CEP on M1 Macs running natively. You'll have to use Rosetta mode for CEP extensions in that environment.

CEP is being slowly deprecated and replaced by UXP, which installs "plugins" in a different location. I seem to have plugin folders in both the User and System location:

~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/UXP/extensions/

~/Users/<username>/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/UXP/Plugins/

Another Option Is that When Cep Folder Not Show You can Paste Your Extentions In C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 2022\Support Files

I Hope Your Problems Solved
