I know that this will be useless, but I need to put all my frustration here, so Adobe can ignore it... Because I know they will.
Hey Adobe, are you completely blind to the several people that still use Fireworks, including me? Don´t even try to tell me that Illustrator is the new Fireworks, because I don´t buy it. And the same goes to Photoshop that to me is for photos, you know: PHOTOshop, it wasn´t conceived for web at all. So stop to try to pull that type of Jury-rig on us.
What we really and simply want is Fireworks back! Everyone that uses it knows that is a wonderful tool for web image edition and creation, and nothing in Adobe today can fill that gap. It accelerates all my web related jobs in a way that Illustrator or Photoshop cannot even compare with.
So, please revive Fireworks!

It's impressive how when you've actually used Fireworks on a daily basis, for everything web and development related of course, it's hard to find an alternative that's up to the task.
I use Illustrator since its version 88, and Photoshop 1.0, I'm quite confortable with their use, but I never found the same comfort of use, nor the same flexibility to create interface elements, and then the fact of opening a code editor, throw some lines in javascript and hop back in fireworks to run it as a command... fabulous.... no comment...
just a misunderstanding of why such a tool has not been maintained

Thanks for posting this originally and thanks for keeping Fireworks alive! Adobe has ruined one of the best products Macromedia ever made!

I agree, my friend! And now they buyed Figma too! The tool that had the most potential in UX area... and now they will ruin it too... Like every tool that they have now are completely ruined compared with what it was in CS6. Damn, Adobe! Stop with the carnage!

Not true. Adobe did not purchase Figma. Their intent to acquire Figma is not finalized. The U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission must review the merger application and approve it before Adobe can purchase anything. The approval process could take several months if it happens at all.

I have no idea what any of this means.
FW and CS6 ended 12 years ago. It's exactly the same software it was in 2012. FW has not changed but your computer has. That's a compatibility problem, not an Adobe problem. If you want to keep using old software, you need an old computer to support it. Simple.

Check out the new Affinty v2 apps. Designer is the nearest thing to Fireworks, it's available for PC/Mac & has some great new features. Affinity also had a special offer for sll 3 apps Publisher, Photo & Designer. When you buy all 3 you can take advantage of Studio Link & use all three apps together effectively as one app.
I still use Fireworks a lot, it is still a very useful app, intuitive & great for every day tasks. People who jump on here to make disparaging remarks about loyal Fireworks users should perhaps not participate in this forum. I don't see it as in any way constructive!! ... Giver Designer a try 👍
