I have a subscription that includes Fireworks CS6 but I am no longer able to use it. When I install it, it simple says that the trial period is expired. When I go to sign in, it asks for a serial number. Looking at help topics to install Muse (didn't work, I don't have this), reset the hosts (nothing there) and use the Creative Cloud Cleaner (ran it, didn't work), uninstall and reinstall (yep tried twice), and getting nowhere. Also I am constantly getting an Error 500: Internal Server Error (on multiple browsers and both behind and not behind my VPN and after clearing cache) when I try to access apps in my subscription. What has happened? Please assist.
In fact, you don't have to go that far... it's still tedious, but you just have to enter your serial numbers and identify yourself again... and again... and again.... let's say every time the computer reboots, it's usually necessary to show your good faith.
So when the trial period dialog box opens, you need to click on the button, I have a serial number, or validate your purchase... then there'll be a button, I have a serial number (a second time)... you'll then be invited to log in, and some

Sounds like you ran into the same issues that I had. I decided it wasn't worth the effort anymore and been using PS. Two months later I don't regret it, was losing too much patience trying to get anywhere. Would have loved to see more success stories but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Super frustrated - Existing Fireworks install went into trial mode and that ran out. I have the full Adobe CC suite and have for years. Tried to install Fireworks on another computer and it will not install. Tried everything I found on Reddit and in Adobe forums but no joy.
I tried Affinity Designer a few years ago but it was too complex and didn't seem to have easy ways to do things I do in Fireworks. Out of frustration, I upgraded to v2 of Affinity and watched a YouTube video on how to use it. So far it is great.
I still would love to have Fireworks work for me again. I love the product and have been using it since Macromedia created it. It is a super quick and easy tool to use and produces great compressed file sizes for web use. It's a shame Adobe doesn't have a good tool for website graphics creators. *Note about Affinity Designer - it has a Photo editing and Vector editing mode. It really does combine the best of both worlds from what I have seen. And doing arcs, swooshes, add text to paths, etc. is super simple. So, I think I will like it once I spend some time and learn the interface better.
Affinity also recently got bought out by Canva.....so I do see the potential for integrations there. If you learn it now, you'll be ahead of the curve and might get more out of Canva if you use it. I don't use Canva but know many people who do.
The current issue seems to be related to the Adobe Licensing Engine/Process and NOT with MS Windows breaking something. So give me my darn software. I have a license but it's not accepting it. Adobe support was useless and basically just pointed me to their forums to get help from other users.
I will continue to try and get Fireworks to work as I love the software. I'll try it once a month or so and hope whatever issue Adobe has caused will be fixed due to the number of angry users complaining. Fingers crossed and I hope this helps others who are in the same boat of frustration.

I almost yelled at the adobe person who gave me a link to this forum. And made out he couldnt work out what I was saying - as if a unique issue - and yet so many of us are saying exactly what you have said.
So now I open it and click License this I get the message 'To use Adobe services, please update your Adobe applications, operating system, and browser to the latest versions.' ?? This is new. And I havent done anything with my laptops - both are suddenly saying this.
t should just let me login to create cloud and use it. Whhy they are working so hard to remove fireworks is mind boggling. Its the only app I use and so Ive been paying a monthly fee for a decade for that one app.
There must be a work around. Id even use the trial for 30 days and keep doing that if I had to. But no point paying for creative cloud if it was the only app I used. Are they really that wealthy they just dont want our money.

I have a quick and easy solution to this problem, but first I need to say that I am extremely frustrated with Adobe, I pay for my subscription and I want the right to use fireworks cs6, I'm sorry, but I don't think they should end it this program, even today this software created by the old macromedia is incredibly fast and easy to use to do simple designer tasks, and it works very well on weak machines, without a video card, doing much with 5% of the memory and disk space that PS needs it to run nowadays, and it also works very well with vectors, something that Photoshop doesn't do well, I can't, for example, send a vector from Illustrator to Photoshop or open an EPS without it being a bitmap in full 2025 wtf, but I can save it do it in Fireworks and even in photopeia in psd and open the shape vector in PS for example, so I'm sorry but FW is still something extremely useful for doing a lot of things that PS and Illustrator do in a very heavy way, I even got to buy Infinity but it is still heavy compared to the old version of FW, so please don't kill FW ever, if you don't want to support it, just remove the dependency on its license,
And here is my solution, unfortunately, so that everyone is sure, in recent months when installing FW it was asking for the installation of the Adobe Manager license management program that Creative Cloud did the favor of not installing in new versions of Cs6 applications, the download link was disabled, so find out how to download via the link https://download.adobe.com/pub/adobe//creativesuite/cc/win/ApplicationManager10.0_all.exe but now it is asking for 30 days, and when I I log in with my account and ask for the serial number,
So, Adobe, either you solve this in a legal way, or there will only be one "not legal" solution left to do this, which would be to just change a "famous dll" that I won't say the name of, here and finally disable the license and software dependency. Adobe Manager and everyone will finally be able to freely use our FW, I think it would be fair since they paid and have the right to use their license.

Had same issue - was stumped, but another thread somewhere said to install Adobe Muse through CC and then it fixes it - and it worked!

Adobe customer support told me to do that but didnt work for me as just gave the Muse with 7 day Trial. I kept asking if at least there was a way to reset the 30 day trial and ...crickets. Until NviDsg just posted. At least I can use it now.

Enough, I'm tired, I'm a cloud subscriber and now I'm forced to add a serial that I don't have, so for everyone who is tired of looking for a solution, just search on YouTube: "How to open Photoshop Cs6 with Trial expired" and do the fireworks It will work again for 30 days indefinitely until Adobe decides to activate the license with our cc login for those who subscribe to them.

I'm happy to be able to help, I hope Adobe goes back and doesn't kill Fireworks, we don't want any supercharges or updates, we just don't want to prevent us from activating Fireworks again through our Creative Cloud login, and we don't have to do this every 30 days, as the installation and activation via CC always worked fine and I did this for many years with my CC subscription, but I recently changed computers right at the moment they deactivated this and got the serial requirement which we don't have, in case they try to block it again , it will be worse because all that will be left is the technique of changing that famous dll and ending this Adobe Manager validation screen once and for all, so I beg you, don't force us to have to pirate Fireworks, please.

More solutions, I noticed that if you run fireworks with win7 compatibility mode and open as administrator and set C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\PDapp.exe to open as administrator and Compatible with win7, it can activate and does not ask for the serial, but you need to do the method of changing the trial serial there in the xml, but unfortunately this only works the first time, then it demands the serial again, so it just decides to rename it or else you want to "delete" folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE and then Fireworks opens normally without needing this activation anymore, it is worth mentioning that an alert will still appear that requires Adobe Manager, but that's it give ok and it opened normally, you can even delete this shi* from Adobe Manager that adobe hasn't updated in years and it's insecure, so we'll have our fireworks for the rest of our lives, one day I'll figure out how to remove this popup, see Adobe, it's all my fault It's yours that forces me to discover this solution lol, it's worth mentioning that all the methods here are simple and done by the client themselves in a safe way without having to download anything suspicious, I don't recommend any type of piracy, I'm totally against it,
just like I'm against paying for something and I can't activate it.

Update 07/27: apparently Adobe has reactivated Fireworks through the Creative Cloud account, now we can get our Fireworks back legally
Follow the steps:
1- Install Adobe Muse first
2- Install Fireworks
3- Install Adobe Manager
4- Set PDApp.exe to open as administrator in Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\PDApp.exe
5- Open Fireworks and click on License this software
6- Log in with your Adobe account on your PC or QR code on your cell phone
and that's it, Fireworks will open without needing a serial number.
If anyone can do this, please confirm here
