Hi all - bit of a issue with Fireworks CS5. Everything working fine until yesterday and have the 'an internal error occurred' when trying to open it!
Have reinstalled and downloaded updates but still no joy.

Any help appreciated!

Before wiping with the cleaner too try renaming this folder to Fireworks CS5_BK first and see if Fireworks will start afterwards...: C:\Users\<<username>>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Fireworks CS5

I take it this is a standalone CS5 version, you don't have an Adobe subscription?

Right-click on desktop icon and select run as administrator.

Failing that, wipe CS5 off your hard drive with the Adobe Cleaner tool.  It works for Creative Suite as well as CC.

Reinstall Fireworks from your original installation disks or downloads that you received at purchase.  When prompted, enter your serial number.

That said, Fireworks ended in 2012 and is unsupported.  Use it at your own risk.
