Hello, I've recently just got Fireworks back and couldn't be happier. With the help of people like Nancy and Paul. (Thank you, by the way). The Adobe Application Manager is telling me that Fireworks has an update available. When I try to update it, I get the following:
Fireworks CS6 update to improve Mac 10.8 platform compatibility and resolve usability bugs.
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D207
I've downloaded the patch file from: https://www.adobe.com/support/fireworks/downloads_updaters.html
But to no avail...
Any suggestions?
-Thanks.

Is Fireworking working OK? If yes just leave it as is.... Bear iN mind the latest versions of Mac OSX do not support 32 bit apps so if you upgrade Mac OSX that could be a problem in the future. running Fireworks

OK, I just thought that the compatibility might be a bit better because Fireworks crashed once when I tried to Convert to Symbol>Animation.
I tried it again and it worked.

If it is working OK I wouldn't worry. What version of Mac OS are your running?

Bear in mind Mojave is the last version to support 32 bit apps if you upgraded your OS Fireworks wouldn't work and you'd need a workaround like Parallels Desktop to run the Windows version of Fireworks on a Mac

I just updated Fireworks CS6 after a tedious process or reinstalling and deleting preference files.
With it, the AAM was removed in favour of the CC desktop app and the CC 2014 applications have also been installed. (The CS6 apps are still present also).
Fireworks is asking for a serial number or valid subscription, both of which I have. When I sign into my Adobe Account, it works and the app launches as usual, the same as when I enter the serial code, but I have to do this everytime I open the app. (Or any other CS 6 app for that matter).
-Any ideas why?
-Thanks

EDIT: I'm running this on a 2012 MacBook Pro running 10.9 Mavericks.

A few people on Macs have managed to get Fireworks running by uninstalling current installation and reinstalling using an offline installer from here. *Important: before downloading you need to visit this page first and login with your Adobe account:
Uninstall Fireworks, reboot your machine then try installing with the offline installer.
*Note: these are links to official Adobe installers.
