How to download Fireworks CS5

Hi, i've just bought a new laptop and need to install Fireworks CS5 on it.  I have the serial number, but there doesn't appear to be an option anymore to download it.  I understand the software has been discontinued.  However, as i've paid Adobe for the product, i assume that's a lifetime license.  Can anyone please point me in the right direction to download?

Thank you so much.

Hi,

Very difficult to find the Fireworks CS5 installer, best bet might be to find someone who has an old saved installer or old installation disc. I don't think you'll get any help from Adobe Support as they're not interested in answering questions relating to Fireworks these days.

The only way is to open Creative Cloud and use the settings cog and then go to App and check Show Older Apps. It then shows Fireworks and you can download

We use fireworks on our PCs - it’s why we have Adobe still. Still our
preferred option for editing…as so simple.

You can use Fireworks CS6 on Windows 10 and 11, some people have had issue and found workarounds - If you want to use on new Mac OS's you'll need to set up a VM as there is no support for 32bit apps any more, some people have used Parallels to achieve this, although it is a paid app it should be noted.

Affinity have just updated their apps to v2  and I'd say if you're looking for something that is similar to Fireworks then Affinity Designer is about as close as you'll get.

Considering the date of the post, I don't know if your question is still relevant ?

So, from the CC desktop application, by clicking on your avatar icon in the top right corner, you can access to the preferences

From there, from the applications tab, by scrolling you will access the settings, and thus the activation of the display of older applications.

Fireworks will now be available on the download platform.

Here at the studio, as @teacherless2020 and @Paul-M, we use it on a daily basis without any problem, but we are usually on W10... we also use virtual machines... it works very well... at least for the moment
