I have just signed up for Creative Cloud on my Mac. I used to work with Fireworks on my windows 7, but it's become too slow and unusable. In the sign-up it showed I would have access to fireworks, but even after downloading the creative Cloud destop app and switching my preferences to "show older apps" I get nothing... adobe support is just giving me the run around saying it's no longer supported - I just need the download link... if that exists?

Hi - Catalina and Big Sur don't support 32 bit apps, so the only way to run Fireworks in those scenarios is to use something like Parallels Desktop

FW is a relic from a bygone era. If you still have a Windows machine, it might work or it might not. But FW has no future. Use another graphics app like Photoshop or Illustrator.

It's not a relic, that's why so many people still use it. Might be best if people who don't even use the software don not come over to the Fireworks forum to cast their dark shadow and negativity...

It's not?? Maybe you can still use it with an older system but that's not true for "so many people."

noun
An object surviving from an earlier time, especially one of sentimental interest but is now outmoded.
Might be best if people who don't even use the software come over to the Fireworks forum to cast their dark shadow and negativity...

Suggesting that one can keep using incompatible software on a modern system is being disingenuous to fellow product users. FW can't run on modern Apple devices. Nothing will change that. Product development ceased in 2012 so it is what it is, a relic.

And yet Adobe still include it in the Creative Suite and this forum seems busier that the Dreamweaver forum, which I assume is why you are here casting your dark shadow and judging people! Yes, Firework keeps going because it's a very good peace of software, intuitive and combines both bitmap and vector tools for fast graphics and prototyping without the need to be jumping back and forth between to or three other 'clunky' pieces of Adobe software. Adobe has to literally try and force people to use alternatives!
I can't think of any other reason why your here other than to meet your forum activity quota because the Dreamweaver forum is so quiet, you've clearly demonstrated you are not a Fireworks user and just default to your usual self of talking down to people, negativity and holier than thou obnoxious attitude.

Look, I get that you think I'm intruding on your personal territory but this isn't a p*ssing contest. My point is driven by grown-up reality, not childish fantasy. Obfuscating truth with false claims and immature name calling has a familiar Trumpian ring to it. But whatever you may think of me personally is irrelevant. This isn't about me. It's about FW.
The slight up-spike in community traffic speaks to problems people are having with launching the app, nothing more. FW is still in CC but it's not sustainable. If you spent time in other product boards, you would know that. Adobe can rip the band-aid off anytime without warning. It's happened before and it'll happen again.
As ACPs, the kindest thing we can do is encourage users to accept the situation and start embracing other products & workflows.

Mostly irrelevant nonsense, people want a resolution to their question or problem, not what Nancy thinks they should know or be told... I get it, you just don't get that concept, because you've spent too long thinking you are always right and people should be told what you think, instead of getting a relevant answer to their question.
The only one looking for a p*ssing contest is you, you do it time and time again and some of the condescending posts I've seen of yours, talking down to people or mocking them because they are a beginner leaves a lot to be desired, its a pretty ugly trait, cruel and pure arrogance.
