Hi - I'm afraid Fireworks won't run on Monterey as it doesn't support 32 bit applications. I have Fireworks on my Macbook Air M1 using Parallels Desktop , only caveat was I had to download an offline installer for Fireworks as it wasn't available in the Creative Cloud app when I installed it... If you'd like more info let me know...

First thing to do would be to download and install a trial of Parallels Desktop, it will allow you to run Windows virtual machine on your Mac. I strongly advise
Once you have Parallels Desktop installed and running, you'll need to install the Creative Cloud app (I'm assuming you have a Creative Cloud subscription).
You'll probably notice Fireworks isn't available but don't worry you can download a standalone installer from here and *IMPORTANT* be sure to visit this page first to set an Adobe cookie
Install and see if it launches, as I say work fine for me .....

Are you running Windows 10/11 in Parallels? Divino would have to invest in a license of Windows 10 or 11 as well. $79 + $110 to run Fireworks in a virtual machine on a Mac seems a bit steep. To run Fireworks, it would be less expensive to purchase a second-hand Windows machine 😉 (or even a new one with low specs!)
I noticed that the free Virtualbox no longer is supported on the new M1 macs, since it only supports X86 virtualization. A crying shame, really. And Parallels' performance doesn't seem to be that great on M1 macs, according to reviews I read.
How is your experience?

You can pick Windows OEM licenses up much cheaper ..... It is not ideal carrying a second old laptop around. User will have to make the call on costs, depends how important it is to them ...

OEM licenses are only sold with hardware - at least here. I tried getting an OEM version of Windows 10, but those are only legally sold with hardware or certain hardware parts. None of the shops I went to offered this option anymore (which was possible in Windows 7 times).
I've read through many articles, and there's a lot of confusion regarding OEM versions of Windows and when a user is allowed to install them.
It seems as long as a single hardware part in your computer is changed or updated, it is legal to use an OEM version. That would mean it is, from a legal point of view, not allowed to use and OEM version in a virtual machine like Parallels, unless the user upgrades their ram (for example) at the same time.
Silly, but there it is. That seems to be the gist of it.
Sorry to derail the thread. As much as I like Fireworks, my opinion about all of this is that the OP would have to jump through too many hoops and $$ just to get an old piece of software to run on the newer Macs. Fine for more technically inclined users (such as you @Paul-M or myself), but completely inaccessible to the average user.

this is from Microsoft with regards tio using OEM software on a VM :
"Use in a virtualized environment. This license allows you to install only one instance of the software for use on one device, whether that device is physical or virtual. If you want to use the software on more than one virtual device, you must obtain a separate license for each instance."
Like I said, you can pick up OEM Windows cheap and you can use on a VM.

From the Windows 10 licensing for Virtual Desktops guide:
This brief addresses Windows 10 licensing for Microsoft Commercial Licensing customers only. For the purposes of this brief, Commercial Licensing programs include all Volume License programs, CSP, and the Microsoft Customer Agreement. Windows 10 licensed solely through your OEM device generally does not include virtualization entitlements, with some exceptions. Please see your OEM license agreement for more details.
Also from the VMWare documentation:
With an OEM license, Windows is tied directly to the hardware on which it was loaded by the manufacturer. Most pre-installed versions of Windows have OEM licenses. OEM licenses generally cannot be transferred to another computer, or to a virtual machine.

If your FW license was purchased (not a Creative Cloud subscription), you're out of luck. You would need a Windows version of Fireworks as your Mac license won't work with Windows software and vice versa. Also a platform swap is no longer possible because FW is discontinued.

We're talking about running Firewoks in a Windows VM and it has already been muted that you can't run Fireworks on Monterey natively in any way

Unless the OP purchased a Windows version of FW, it won't work on Windows VM or a stand alone Windows machine.
Mac licenses are not compatible with Windows versions of software. And a platform swap for CS6 and earlier is not possible anymore.
