Re: Fireworks from CS6... How do I download/buy?

Community Beginner ,

I have Creative Cloud and Fireworks CS6 is installed.  I was able to use it through it's trial period. Now that the trial is over, it prompts me to either "buy" (link to dead end) or "license".  How do I get around this?

What happens when you click on License this product and enter your CS6 serial number?

Fireworks is discontinued, unsupported and no longer available except with a paid ALL APPS plan to Creative Cloud. And you must have the option to Show Older Versions checked in your CC Desktop App preferences.

If you don't have that option because you're on an Teams /  Enteprise plan, please contact your IT dept admin.  They will need to create a special package for you to access discontinued  Fireworks.

Thank you for the quick reply, Nancy!

The license I had before they discontinued was for CS5 and it doesn't work when I enter it (must not work for CS6).

The latter part of your reply was not an issue for me; I was able to find and install Fireworks from CC Desktop.  It was working fine until the trial period ended of course.  I've become quite dependant on Fireworks over the years that I feel handicapped on any alternative software.

Thanks again!

Are you a paid Creative Cloud ALL Apps plan member?  I ask because only paid ALL Apps plan members have access to discontinued products.

1. Open CC Desktop App.
2. Click the gear icon > General tab > Settings. Select "Always keep Creative Cloud up to date."
3. Click on your Avatar (top right image).
4. Sign-out of Creative Cloud.
5. Close all apps.
6. Restart your computer.
7. Open CC Desktop app.
8. Click your Avatar.
9. Sign-in with your paid ID and password.

Thanks again for your help, Nancy.  I followed those steps without success. I also uninstalled and re-installed Fireworks through CC Desktop and I'm still getting the "Buy" or "License" screen.  : (

I wish Adobe just unlocked it for CC ALL APPS users instead of keeping the old trial period logic.

In the meantime, are there any comparable solutions out there?  I use photoshop, but I don't find it to be as intuitive.  Fireworks has everything I need and nothing I don't.

OK, I think I have a better understanding of what's going on now.  Your software is reverting to trial mode because there's a conflict.  For best results, use the Adobe Cleaner tools below to remove all Adobe software from your system.  Restart your computer.  Install the latest version of Creative Cloud desktop app followed by your other CC products.  DO NOT install legacy Creative Suite on the same machine as Creative Cloud.

You do not need to use the cleaner tool. Just click the 'License This Software' button, then you might be prompted to sign in. Click the sign in button if prompted and sign in with the correct adobe credentials and that should sort it out as long as you have a full or student/teacher creatice cloud subscription ... This seems to be happening intermittently with Fireworks...
