Add-on issue (I think)

I keep getting a message that a website wants to install flash, but it is installed and shows up in the control panel.  I checked that it was enabled under the add-ons (says Shock Wave Flash object, but as an unknown publisher).  I also do not have a log in the system\32 folder.

Download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller and installer directly by right clicking the following links and selecting "Save target as".

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Uninstaller

Save the files to your Downloads folder - DO NOT RUN THEM YET.
Reboot your system.

BEFORE opening anything, go to your Downloads folder and run the UNINSTALLER to remove Flash Player completely.

Then run the installer to replace the Flash Player ActiveX Plugin for IE.

Running the uninstaller (as opposed to updating) should resolve the issue.
