I need adobe 13 on my Mac 10.5.8 software to view work related items. I talked to Apple and they said I need to update my software. Will I be able to get adobe 13 w/ snow leopard? Do I need to go up to lion? That is the highest I can go on my Mac. Or can I get it somehow w/ my current software?

You're out of luck, if your Mac ISN'T Intel, and at least a Core2Duo.

OS 10.5.8 is from a "by-gone era" in Mac computing.

PowerPC Macs can't be updated beyond 10.5.8, and no version of Flash higher than 10.3 will run on that OS, whether the Mac is Intel or PPC.

If your Mac has a Core2Duo Intel processor, then you can upgrade to Snow Leopard for $19.99 Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.), and THEN you'll be able to to run Flash Player 13.

Without at least a Corei3 processor and a minimum of 4Gb RAM I wouldn't recommend upgrading to Lion (you'll need to upgrade to Snow Leopard first), and anything above Lion, I'd recommend a minimum of 8Gb RAM.
