I'm having the exact same problem -- I upgraded to Windows 10 a few days ago and, starting today, the Flash player crashes IMMEDIATELY, even here on the adobe site -- the app that shows what version of flash you are running (I've downloaded and reinstalled the latest version now several times after uninstalling) -- lists the version for about 10 seconds and then crashes. I am in total browser hell. It crashes with Firefox, chrome, IE, and safari.
Can someone please help!!!

Loaded windows 10 and got freezes for shockwave on every browser. Tried all kinds of things with no luck. Finally listened to other forums and uninstalled my old audio from my programs list. Fixed it! Go to the bottom left of windows 10 screen, Right click on windows. Click on programs and features. Uninstall any audio programs. Reboot.

Given the age of this thread, I'm going to close it. If you're having a problem with a current version of your browser and Flash Player, please begin a new thread, so we can offer you personalized advice.

Also, to be clear, Chrome is not dropping support for Flash Player. They *are* implementing Plug-In Power Saver, which prevents things like ads, and invisible tracking pixels from loading and consuming system resources. Legitimate, large, interactive content still works, but your point is valid (and generally reflects reality). Aside from a few specific use-cases (high-end web-based gaming, premium video experiences), HTML5 technology is generally very good and should be preferred for new content development.

The screenshot shows, that the flash player crashed on Youtube,
Can you please confirm:
1. is Youtube.com using flash player on the browser. (By default is uses HTML5)
2. If not, can you please check and confirm, on which site are you getting the crash.
Thanks

Having exactly the same problem on Windows 10. Crashes using Edge, Chrome and Firefox. The problem appears to be that Shockwave Flash is hanging on the ads as I can see them loading on the bottom left of the screen and then the browser hangs. Rebooting the laptop usually solves the issue for a short while. A quick search on the internet indicates that this is a serious and pervasive issue, but individual users are blaming their own individual browsers. However, I can assure you that the problem is across all three major browsers. I have attempted all known rectifications. Removing add-ons. Unticking hardware acceleration. Checking for duplicate Shockwave plugins. Re-installing Flash. etc etc.

Updated my Realtek driver as per the link above and haven't had an issue since. Three days now. Fingers crossed.

Same problem. Worked for about 5 days in Facebook games, then nothing. Only got green-screen, patterned green screen or black screen on YouTube. Adobe site says Newest version and all is well. Usedd link in one of the games that says get player here and downloaded. On step 3 there is a statement when you see animation ... I do no see animation. However, I now can view flash on You Tube with a lot of buffering, (I've set to lowest 1 step at a time and it made absolutely no difference!), choppiness, and sound is not in sync with pictures at times. Just now after doing a scan etc over night, I did a check and screen says I need "Chrome" plug ins. WHAT?
Somebody, either Adobe or Microsoft needs to step up and say "My Bad" and fix this mess.

Hi, thank you for your help!
I already downgraded Windows to 8.1 again, because i was not able to work with my computer running WIN10. In 8.1 I have no problems with Flash, so it must be an WIN 10 issue.
Nevertheless I uploaded my dxdiag (but in Win8.1) for you, maybe it helps to fix the issue. Download Link
Thank you..

I'm having this EXACT same issue. It was working fine for the first few weeks with Windows 10, but now this. I didn't see this post so I too posted:

I am also having the same issue. I am struggling for past 5 days. I tried every thing including (1) Enable/disable Protected Mode (2) Uninstall Adobe and reinstall (3) Update Video driver (4) Stop Video accelerator. No help. However after Windows 10 Adobe update it worked for one day. Again same issue. I noticed that after I run a video (e.g. from Coursera.com) the browser hangs. Then after restart this issue of Falsh crashing crops up. No matter if you clear the cash, history and all temp files. Can Adobe fix it once for all?

Same issue here. All browsers crash sporadically (Chrome,IE11,Firefox). This only occurs on machines with Windows10 upgrade. Very frustrating that non of the forums seem to have a solution to the issue except downgrade, which is not always an option. If anyone hears of a true fix, please let me know as I have searched the web and read through countless forums without any luck.

This is not just a win 10 issue. This is an issue with latest Flash ver 19 crashing in all browsers across a multitude of systems.
Win 7pro, win 8.1 home, win 8.1 pro, win 10 home, win 10 pro and win 10 evaluation (beta). All in use via 2 pc's and laptop.
Browsers affected:- Firefox, Chrome, IE11, Edge, Safari, Opera, Maxthon.
If you have multiple tabs/windows open requiring use of flash player ver 19 it will either, hang, become unresponsive or just crash.
Ver 19 is unstable and can't cope with multiple use at same time.

If you have run a virus scan and your system shows clean, it’s probably audio driver. After replacing my audio driver it hasn’t crashed once. Check this link out: Shockwave Flash Crashing In Windows 10 Technical Preview - Microsoft Community. Hope it helps you as I know I was frustrated as heck and I'm an IT professional...LOL

Thanks for the heads up on the audio driver. In your case, did you upgrade an OEM driver or did you have to uninstall and use Microsoft's built in driver support?

In my case I had this exact issue so I uninstalled the current driver and then downloaded the one from Realtek site (see below) and rebooted. Depending on exactly what you have you might try uninstalling the current driver and go out to the manufacturer of your audio card's website and download one specifically for Windows 10. Like I said I tried everything under the sun and doing this FINALLY fixed the issue (although I had to reinstall my mouse pad driver for some reason as well). Hopefully you are having the same issue and this will fix it for you. Best of luck!

Brian,
From my personal experience having multiple machines, running different Operating Systems and utilizing the major browsers (which all crashed on Windows 10 but not 8.1 or lower). That said I'm not saying it is a Windows10 issue, but rather could be the driver it is choosing to install on some people's system as a result of what audio card they have, during the upgrade process. I work in IT and am not stupid enough to comment on what I don't know as a fact (I don't work for Adobe or Microsoft), but I can comment on what worked for me after several fresh installs of Windows 10 and trying way to many things to list here to address the issue, this fixed my issue on the only machine I was having issues with. If Chris or other posters don't want to try this then fine by me, but there is NO doubt this addressed my issues with "Flash crashing in all browsers". Best of luck!
PS: I never had multiple tabs open and was still experiencing crashes......

If it was a driver installed by windows causing Flash to fail then logic says using other media devices such as VLC that require use of said driver would also fail/ crash. This doesn't happen.
I didn't need multiple tabs open for flash to hang, crash, it just needed multiple uses of flash either in an open window or if open tabs also needed flash.
This is simply an update by Adobe that has an inbuilt weakness. It is unstable. Its typical Adobe, they issue emergency fixes for serious security flaws. They state in the update that this version (ver 19) was supposed to address stability and other security flaws. Well, guess what, they may have addressed some security issues but they haven't done stability any favours because its just not stable, end of story.
They can try and palm this off as folk having issues with their equipment but at the end of the day, its version 19 that is a fail, not peoples equipment or systems.
