Adobe flash update keeps crashing my system. What can I do about it?

This is probably a scam, designed to get you to download and install a virus. To get Flash go only to http://get.adobe.com/flash Ignore anything else which tries to get you to update - you could end up with your credit cards stolen, and your privacy gone...

Your antivirus software should be handling it - if you don't have antivirus software, go and get some. It's not an Adobe problem.

That may actually be the legitimate Flash Player updater; can you provide more information about the crash? Error messages etc.

It says "Adobe Flash Player Update Service 11.6 r602 stopped working and was closed. A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available. (no solution yet and its been going on for weeks).
Sometimes my system just closes down and the error message I get says I have new driver on my system? I have not added anything. That could be something different then the Update message. I'll be taking my computer in to a shop on Friday.
Get ready! An upgraded Adobe Community experience is coming in January.
