At least I know that I'm not alone.  Is there really no help for this suffering?  Flash 9 did not work.  I still cannot see the only worthwhile internet video.  Comedy Central.

Hi, I assume you are using some Operating System of Windows, since you mentioned IE. Please post that info back and also using IE first and then FF(Firefox) test at this site to confirm what version of Flash Player you have:

http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

In FF, do you have adblock Enabled? In IE, do you use any pop up blocker software?  Is your Operating System a 64bit?

If it is are you using the 32bit default which is needed to view Flash content?

Thanks,

eidnolb

I surely hope you can contiue to help me untl this makes some sense. Yes, I have flash 10.1.53.64 installed, and it has been uninstalled dozens of times by now. I have tried comedy Central with IE, Mozilla, Safari, Chrome, and I think another. All web browsers act the same. I feared maybe Real player might have caused a problem, as the Real download button did show up. As Real player is now also uninstalled, that is also rulled out. As of today there is still no Comedy Central, and I beg you for help. Thank you.

Still no Comedy Central.  I'm beginning to think this is becoming impossible.  All the browsers, 32 bit, 64 bit java, I don't understand 64bit flash player, but some browser shoud work.  turned on popups, found a flash player, I'm becoming exahusted.  I'll have to repay for f)(*(& cable, I'm fearing.  I cannot live without comedy central.  What could ever be wrong?  Thanks so much for your efforts, but I'm totally exhausted.

Hi &, I need you to answer the questions that I asked in the post right before you. That information is needed at least to have some idea of your computer system. Also what version of Internet Explorer are you using?

Thanks,

eidnolb

Hi, today I bought a new rerouter thinking my connection was too slow for CC.  No luck.  Back to the old router.  I have tried EE eplorer 32 and 64 bit.  the 64 bit doesn't work with flash drive, so I went back to 32 bit.  Add blocker is turned off,  I even turned protected mode off.  I  spent the whole day setting up networks, cdonnections,  Internet access, all that networking and sharing stuff.  Easy?  What a ball of yarn, say I to MS.  I finally called the manufacturer of the rerouter, any help, of course not.  Then I went to comedy Central and tried various ideas out, the commercials work just beaugtifully, and I'm getting so tired of them.

Why is there no comedy Central help?  Everything I do is like hitting my head against a rock.  I'm at my witts end.  No help any place?  Thank you for trying, I hope there is an idea left yet, but I'm sure not coming up with one.

Try to go to this site:  http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.html

You can enter information directly on the "Global Storage Settings panel" shown (it's not an image).  By doing so, I was finally able to watch the Comedy Central videos!  Good luck to you!!!!!

Thank you, I'm so tired of those settings that I could faint.  I will have to admit guessing, but reinstalling flash player, I've done that 1000 times, should restore it to original settings, I figure.  which setting did you think helped you?

I did a bunch of reinstalling Flash players too!  Somehow, filling in the settings worked for me.  I checked all three boxes to get the videos to run.  I think when I tried to deselect the second box, it didn't work.  However, I keep getting pop-up message boxes on most of the videos I'm watching now, asking me for permission for various parties to store info. on my computer.
