Flash Player 11.9.x and Smart Notebook

SMARTTech.com is recommending that Flash Player 11.9.x be uninstalled due to an incompatibility with their SMART Notebook software. They recommend reinstalling version 11.8 and selecting either the option to notify regarding updates, or to never install the updates. I am not pleased with this recommendation, and am wondering if a near future update to the Flash Player will eliminate the incompatiblity. (Of course, I am also wondering the same about an update to the SMART software, but their updates seem to come much less frequently, and are generally much larger, so I am hoping that the fix might originate from the Adobe side.)

Compatibility is a two way street. Adobe releases software updates, other companies (Apple, Microsoft, etc.) update to go along with it.
Since Adobe DOESN'T run SMARTTech, SMATRTech updates are not Adobe's responsibility.
You can find older versions of Flash Player here, http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html but SMARTTech "fed you a line" about Adobe needing to make their stuff work.

I would recommend rolling back to our 11.7 release, which contains all available security patches. Please see this FAQ for details:
Where can I find direct downloads of Flash Player 11.7 for Windows or Macintosh?
In addition, would you mind taking a minute and posting a comment or vote to the following bug report and let us know how this is impacting you?
